The Green

Binham Village Green is a very pretty and historic area of Binham and is accessed and crossed by two registered restricted byways (numbers 10a and 10b).   Binham Market Cross stands on the Green and is one of the best surviving examples of a medieval standing cross in Norfolk.  It was the site of an annual fair from the 1100s until the 1950s.

The Green is managed and protected by the Parish Council and is registered as a green with Norfolk County Council under reference 149.

Parking and driving on the Green (except by those who have  legal rights to access their properties only) is against the law.  Nothing should be done to interrupt recreation and enjoyment of The Green.  For information on the laws and uses of a Green please click on the link below to open and read a simple guide published by DEFRA
